Lowell House transforms into Riverbend as organization rebrands

In her spare time, Alison enjoys being active by running and hiking, traveling, and photography. Most importantly, she loves to spend quality time with her Husband, family and friends. A Lowell Native and current Dracut resident, Catherine Casey is the Assistant Vice President of Financial Wellness at Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union.

Louise founded and continues to facilitate the Merrimack Valley’s Coping Today support group to assist families struggling with loss of a loved one due to drug use disorder. She spent 25 years working at local institutions such Hope House Boston Review as Saints Medical Center and the Greater Lowell Cancer Program. In these facilities, she was a cancer registrar, program coordinator, and data manager of clinical trials.

In May of 2019 Pamela completed her Bachelors of Science Degree in Healthcare Administration from Southern New Hampshire University. The center of Community Health & Wellness provides over 400 programs annually to non-profit organizations and corporate clients. Pamela Huntley was named Executive Director of The Megan House Foundation on July 1, 2019, after serving in the role on an interim basis since January of the same year.

1. Beginning in 2012 Pamela transitioned to the External Affairs division to work collaboratively with the VP of External Affairs, Philanthropy and Marketing.
2. After starting her family, she took time of to raise her 3 children, Suzanne, John and Mariah.
3. The challenges I faced were also met with people who saw potential in me and helped me to start my journey.
4. Visual Clinic is a Massachusetts based Company specializing in LEAN methodologies and products for Hospitals, Surgical Centers and Physician practices.
5. MaryBeth was born and raised in Boston and now lives in Haverhill, MA with her many pets.

Teddy began his broadcasting career as a Sports Producer at WDH-TV Channel 7 in Boston and also wrote for the Lowell Sun. When not working at the radio station, Teddy helps run his family restaurant in Lowell. He is a graduate of Dracut High School, earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Massachusetts-Lowell and a Master’s Degree in Mass Communication/Broadcast Journalism from Emerson College. Born and raised in the city of Lowell, Robert has been active in fighting the Opiate Epidemic in the Lowell area for a number of years. A graduate of Lowell High School, David began serving on the Megan House Foundation Board of Directors since its early days in 2015. He also serves on the Retirement Board for the City of Lowell and served on the Retirement Board for Marlborough, Massachusetts.

Kerrie enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, and taking long walks with their dog Gogo. Angela began working at Megan’s House in 2016 as a Recovery Specialist and later moved on to the position of Success Coach. Encouraged by the Megan’s House Foundation, she returned to school and completed state requirements to become a licensed alcohol and drug abuse counselor. She continued to grow in her career at Megan’s House and took on the role of Family Counselor, working with residents and their supports to rebuild trust and promote healthy communication. In the fall of 2023, Angela became the Program Director of Megan’s House.

College

Growing up in the Lower Highlands of Lowell, Shaun understands the choices and challenges facing youth of today. Shaun was a member of the Lowell YMCA, Greater Lowell Boys and Girls Club, and an active member in area CYO. Ms. Coimbra has worked with the Megan House Foundation on numerous occasions hosting fundraising events to bring awareness to the organization in honor of her younger cousin McKenzie. She plans on continuing her work on the events team with her new role on the board. Louise is a strong advocate for education, support, recovery and treatment. University of Massachusetts LowellA nationally ranked, public research institution, partof the University of Massachusetts system.

She is responsible for the oncology data management, accreditation, and registry operations across all 178 of their locations nationwide. She has worked within a diverse community and believes compassion is key to understanding differences and recognizing similarities. Lowell SpinnersThe Lowell Spinners professional baseball team is the minor league affiliate of the 8-time World Series Champions, the Boston Red Sox. It’s located on a quiet side street with plenty of parking, it has easy highway access, and it’s just around the corner from the train.

“We stand here now knowing that in just a few days, another nine women will live in a safe, affordable and supportive environment where they can continue their recovery,” Gignac said. Over and eighteen year career in the field, MaryBeth has worked in clinical settings supporting and guiding individuals who present with various inner challenges. Her passion and mission is to promote independence while addressing and processing underlying sensitive issues such as trauma, life changes, and stressors. Tanya very much enjoys being in a supportive role and combines her creative problem solving and organization skills with everything-is-possible attitude to support our Executive Director and The Megan House Foundation. After graduating from the University of Massachusetts Lowell and Salem State College with her Master’s degree in Education, Martha began her teaching career in the Lowell Public Schools, as a K-5 grade art specialist.

Since then, Ryan said they’ve developed programs for those struggling with substance use disorder, and Emma’s House is one step forward in making a difference. Lowell, MA, September 30th, 2024 – Lowell House is excited to announce that after 53 years, it will have a new identity, Riverbend, to reflect the organization’s evolution over the years. The name Riverbend gives a nod to the Merrimack River that runs through the heart of the communities that the organization services and as a reflection of the journey that their clients take in their recovery.
